Review – Khao Lak Muay Thai

We stayed in a hotel which was a minute walk to Khao Lak Muay Thai so my plan was to try and supplement my morning session with an afternoon session a little closer to where we was staying.

Due not feeling great and struggling with a bout of cellulitis I only had managed to get 2 afternoon sessions in with #KhaoLak #MuayThai.

— Arranging training —

I message their Instagram account before heading out to #Thailand, they quickly answered and said it was fine to just turn up to training.

— Cost —

Training for a single class was 250 Baht which you pay before the session.

— Structure of the session —

Class started with either jogging around the mats or skipping and a stretch led by an instructor.

Depending on how many people attend the session the whole class will hit the bag for 5 rounds and then get 5 rounds of #pads with a coach.

After that we practiced set combos in a Dutch drill style with other students or did some for of conditioning.

Both classes finished with a cool down.

— Coaches —

My first session I got some pads off Padu who is the lead #coach, he was pretty chilled and his English was good, but all the #coaches were friendly and helpful.

— Session Suitably —

There was quite a few people on the mats in both sessions, mostly #tourists dropping in for a session (like me 🙃) the session are structured well.

It would have been nice to have got some more sessions in, but if some one with limited experience fancied giving #Thaiboxing a try, it is well worth a visit.
